The Day Center For Mental Health Support Through Art “ArtWave” of the Society of Neurosciences and Rehabilitation (S.N.R.), officially began its operations in October 2024, after the official issuing of:
• An official Establishment License (No. Γ3β/Γ.Π.7189/12-02-2024 - Online Publication Number: Ρ6Η9465ΦΥΟ-Σ0Κ) by the Ministry of Health.
• An official Operations License (No. Γ3β/Γ.Π.65491/30-12-2024 - Online Publication Number: 9ΤΦΦ465ΦΥΟ-ΒΗ8) by the Ministry of Health.
Services - Actions
Services provided by the Center are FREE OF CHARGE and include:
➢ Diagnosis, psychometric and neuropsychological assessment
➢ Individual and group sessions with qualified psychiatrists and psychologists.
➢ Mental health treatment and support through Art via individual and group sessions: i. Music therapy
ii. Art therapy
iii. Therapeutic interventions with kinesiotherapy, theater, and physical expression techniques ➢ Education and promotion programs for mental health in the community.
➢ Social education, empowerment, and participation programs to eliminate stigma in the community.
Based on the principles of Community Psychiatry, the Day Center for Mental Health Support Through Art aims to:
➢ Promote mental health support in the community, focusing on prevention and evaluation of stress and mental disorders.
➢ Eliminate social exclusion and support the rights of socially vulnerable groups.
➢ Defend the individual and social rights of vulnerable groups and protect them from discrimination and behaviors such as social stigmatization, exploitation, abuse and neglect.
