The Day Center for Children and Adolescents “PODILATO” of the Society of Neurosciences and Rehabilitation (S.N.R.) officially began its operations in April 2025, after the official issuing of:
• An official Establishment License (No. Γ3β/Γ.Π.34673/28-06-2024 - Online Publication Number: 6ΗΦΩ465ΦΥΟ-Ζ06) by the Ministry of Health.
• An official Operations License (No. Γ3β/Γ.Π.14170/28-03-2025 - Online Publication Number: 98ΠΩ465ΦΥΟ-ΑΙ8) by the Ministry of Health.

Services - Actions

Services provided by the Center are FREE OF CHARGE and include:

➢ Sessions for diagnostic and neuropsychological assessment with qualified child psychiatrists for children and adolescents up to 17 years of age.
➢ Individual and group psychological support sessions with qualified psychologists for children and adolescents up to 17 years of age.
➢ Counseling support for parents and guardians by psychologists.
➢ Individual and group sessions with:
I. Social workers
II. Occupational therapists
III. Special education teachers
IV. Speech Therapists
V. Special Therapists (e.g. Art Therapy)

➢Education and promotion programs in the field of mental health in the community with the aim of collaborating with local agencies, organizations, and schools to promote and prevent mental health issues in children and young people. adolescents.
➢Social education, empowerment, and participation programs that eliminate stigma in the community.

Based on the principles of Community Psychiatry, the Children and Adolescents Day Center aims to:

➢ Promote mental health support for children and adolescents, with a focus on preventing stress and other mental disorders and supporting and navigating their families.
➢ Eliminate exclusion and stigma related to mental health in both social and school settings and promote protection from negative discrimination and behaviors such as social stigmatization, exploitation, abuse, and neglect.
➢ Raising awareness in the community on issues of social reintegration and deconstruction of social stigma in children and youths.
